Margarita Marshmallows



Savor the flavors of a traditional margarita in the form of marshmallows! A delightful adult twist on a childhood favorite, these Margarita Marshmallows have a zesty lime kick along with a hint of tequila and orange liqueur.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange liqueur e

  • , Triple Sec
  • 1 tablespoon tequila
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Zest of 1 lime, for garnish

Instructions:

Mix the gelatin with half a cup of cold water in a mixing bowl

Give it ten minutes to soften

Place 1/4 cup water, corn syrup, and granulated sugar in a saucepan over medium heat

Stir the mixture until the sugar is dissolved and the candy thermometer registers 240F 115C

After taking the sugar syrup off of the stove, combine it with the gelatin mixture

Using an electric mixer, beat on high speed for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the mixture gets fluffy and thick

Tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice should be added to the blend

Beat until well combined, two to three more minutes

Grease and dust a 9 x 9-inch 23 x 23 cm baking pan with powdered sugar

Using a spatula, level the top of the marshmallow mixture once it has been poured into the prepared pan

Allow it to set for at least four hours, or at room temperature

After the marshmallows have set, cut them into the desired shapes with a knife or cookie cutters

To keep them from sticking, dust the cut edges with powdered sugar

Once the lime zest has been added, serve the Margarita Marshmallows
