Moving On BBQ Ribs

Here's a recipe for BBQ ribs that will remind you that waiting pays off. Good things are coming your way, just like these ribs are cooked slowly and low.

Ingredients:

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup paprika
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • BBQ sauce for glazing

Instructions:

Get your smoker or grill hot, about 225F 107C

Take off the membrane from the back of the ribs so that the flavor can soak in better

For the rub, mix chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, brown sugar, and cayenne pepper in a bowl

Spread a lot of the spice mix on both sides of the ribs

To make a basting liquid, mix apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard together

For the first three hours, put the ribs on the grill and baste them with the liquid mixture every so often

Keep smoking the ribs until the internal temperature reaches 190F 88C

This usually takes 5 to 6 hours

For a caramelized finish, brush your favorite BBQ sauce on the ribs during the last 30 minutes of cooking

Give the ribs a 10-minute rest after taking them off the grill, then cut them up and serve

Choose your favorite sides to go with it and enjoy the tasty taste of moving on!
